This home is tucked away into a forest of aspens and pines. It originally was modeled after an old barn. Huge ceilings and open spaces made it a challenge to manage sound and create a cozy feel. With the help of massive windows that gave the generous gift of sunshine and views of the forest, it was easy to bring nature inside. Stone floors, wood accents and natural warm colors and textures gave it a cozy feel while embracing the surroundings from outside. Creating small spaces within the big spaces helped to define each area and its purpose. Neutral colors were made interesting by combining different fabrics and prints to give the space depth.
